Transform your pilot dreams into reality! If you’re passionate about flying but unsure where to begin, United Aviate Academy is here to guide you from the start as you earn your ratings. After obtaining your Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating, you can join Aviate, United’s pilot career development program. From there, you’ll continue building experience and stay on a path toward a future as a United pilot.

Together United, JPMorgan Chase, and Boeing work with pilot organizations to fund $3.45M in scholarships to the best and brightest talent, opening the door to a lucrative career for people who previously didn’t have the opportunity to pursue one. In addition to scholarships, student loans are a potential resource for funding your education. United Aviate Academy is here to help you navigate student loan options and will provide details to you throughout the application process. We're in the business of breaking down barriers and we want the pilot population — some of the highest paying jobs in the industry — to be open to all qualified candidates.

While you're at United Aviate Academy
United Aviate Academy is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines and a part of United’s Aviate program. This means you'll not only be trained to fly, but you will also:

Through the Aviate program, you’ll be provided benefits, increased visibility and direction toward your career at United through:
- A direct path. Once you attain all Aviate program experience requirements you may be eligible to transition to United as a First Officer.
